Fifth Grade Teacher
Siegrist Elementary

I have been teaching since 1996! My own educational career began at Benedictine College, where I received my BA in Elementary and Special Education. I went on to Baker University for my Master's in Education in 2003. In 2013, I achieved the highly coveted National Board Certification. I earned my Reading Specialist degree through Park University in 2015. Platte County R-3 School District has been my home since 2003.

I have taught 5th grade since being with Platte County. Siegrist departmentalizes which means our students will rotate between two different teachers. My emphasis is in the area of Communication Arts and social studies. I love what I do, and I am very passionate about reading. I make it a top priority to find books your child will love to read!

I have two children and two step sons. My son, Dalton, is working to become a plumber. My daughter, Demi, attends the University of Missouri studying health sciences. Parker works for a project engineering firm and Drake is wrapping up his studies at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.
