Hello and welcome to fourth grade!! I am very excited to work with you and your students this year in fourth grade! This will be my first year in Platte County and I could not be more excited to be a pirate. I am from the Kansas City area and am excited to be closer to my family. I spent my first two years of teaching in Savannah, Missouri at Minnie Cline Elementary. My fiancé (Hayden) and I currently live in Saint Joseph, Missouri but are planning to move closer to Platte City in the future. We met while attending Northwest Missouri State University where I earned my Bachelors in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education in 2020. We both enjoy playing sports and being outdoors and working out together. We are both huge football fans and enjoy spending our free time cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs! We are the proud dog parents of a corgi named Buster. We are getting married October 15, 2022 so my name will be Emily Marrs in a few short months! I am very excited to join this community and am looking forward to learning and growing with all of you!
My hope for all my students is to feel safe and comfortable in my classroom and that they can grow and develop as lifelong learners! I feel so fortunate to be apart of the Pirate family here at Platte County and at Siegrist!
