Missouri Distinguished Principal
Members of the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals (MAESP) from the Clay Platte Region, Platte County Elementary Principals, representatives from our district office, Mrs. Sutton’s husband and sister, and the Siegrist staff gathered to surprise Mrs. Johna-Kaye Sutton with a very special recognition—being named a Missouri Distinguished Principal.
The Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals (MAESP) is a statewide organization that serves elementary and middle school principals, assistant principals, and educators aspiring to leadership roles. Through its partnership with the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), MAESP participates in the National Distinguished Principal (NDP) Program, established in 1984 to honor principals who set high standards for instruction, student achievement, character, and school climate.
Each of MAESP’s eleven regional networks selects a principal who exemplifies these qualities as a Regional Distinguished Principal Honoree. From these honorees, one principal is chosen to represent Missouri at the NAESP National Distinguished Principal Celebration held each year.
We are incredibly proud of Mrs. Sutton and grateful for her outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to our Siegrist community. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!
