Welcome! My name is Amber McMillian, and I am a Reading Specialist at Siegrist Elementary. I have been an educator since 2014, and I am passionate about helping students become confident, capable, and enthusiastic readers.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Park University. I continued my education by earning my Master’s degree in Reading and my Education Specialist degree in Leadership from Arkansas State University.
Throughout my career, I have developed a strong passion for literacy and for building meaningful relationships with students. I believe every child can grow as a reader when they are provided with the right support, encouragement, and opportunities to experience success. As a Reading Specialist, my goal is to help students discover the joy of reading while developing the skills and confidence they need to become lifelong learners.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband, Spencer, and our four children—MaCallen, Ellie, Will, and Mayzie. We enjoy traveling and making memories together. When I have some extra free time, you can usually find me reading, decorating, or enjoying anything pumpkin! 
I feel incredibly blessed to be an educator and am honored to be part of each student's reading journey!
