Siegrist Elementary
I am so excited to be in the library with all of the Siegrist students, sharing my love of reading. Before coming to the library, I taught second grade at Siegrist. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Emporia State University, my Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Kansas, and my Library certification through Emporia State University.
My husband, Lance, and I both grew up in a small (very small) farming community in south-central Kansas. My family raised wheat and cattle.
I currently live in Piper, Kansas (near the Legends). My older daughter, Abigail, is a recent graduate from KU and is getting ready to complete her last year at Cal Berkeley Law School. My younger daughter, Megan, is a third grade teacher. We have 2 dogs, Lucy and Ember, and a cat, Carmen. I enjoy being outside, gardening, music, and KU basketball.
