My name is Kristin Dunlap and I am pleased to join the Siegrist Elementary School Team!! I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and my Masters Degree in Special Education from the University of Kansas. I also received my doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with a Specialization in Special Education from the University of Kansas. I hold educational certifications in elementary general education, special education, building leadership and district leadership. Although this is my first year at Siegrist, I have been serving in the field of education for over 30 years.
I have a true passion for working with all learners!! I genuinely love helping each child progress in all areas of their development—academically, social emotionally, and behaviorally and am honored to be able to work with students every day. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, safe and nurturing environment.
Personally, my family and I (husband and 4 kids) moved to Platte County July, 2023 from Jackson County. My hobbies include music, being outside, sports, and cheering on my MIZZOU Tigers.
