My name is Jamie Klingenberg, and I have been working as either a classroom teacher in various grade-levels (3-8) or as a Reading Specialist since I began teaching in 1996. I received my degree in Elementary Education from the University of Saint Mary, and I received my Master's degree in Language and Literacy Education, as well as my Reading Specialist Certification from Park University.  I am very excited for the opportunity to work with your child in the area of reading this school year!

On a personal note, I have been married to my wonderful husband since 1993, and we are the proud parents of two boys. Our son, Samuel, just graduated from the University of Kansas and will soon be an Officer in the United States Air Force.  Our youngest son, Jacob, will be a Junior this year. Jacob works at McDonald's here in Platte City.  He is there quite often, and he really enjoys it!   We also have an adorable dog, Ava, who makes our family complete.  I am very excited to begin another school year helping students find success in reading!
