Welcome to Mrs. Simon's class website! This will be my second year teaching fifth grade. I have been teaching since 2004 at Siegrist. I taught second grade for twenty years and made the switch to fifth grade last year. I'm looking forward to the upcoming year!
I believe education is a collaboration between the teacher, the family, and the student. Each is important to the success of the student. As the African proverb says, "It takes a village to raise a child". I look forward to collaborating with you this year.
I'm Texas born and raised. My family still lives there and we're blessed to have the chance to visit often. I moved to Missouri in 2000 to attend Northwest Missouri State University and have lived here ever since -Go Bearcats! I've been married to my wonderful husband, Nick, since 2005. We have two joyful, energetic, and loving kiddos. Anna is 17 and a senior this year. Cade is 14 and a freshman. We are a big football, band and soccer family! They sure keep us on our toes and I wouldn't have it any other way!
I'm really looking forward to seeing each and every one of you. I can't wait for an amazing year!
