My name is Lauren Parrish and I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Platte County School District since 2010. I grew up in Lawson, MO and graduated from Lawson High School in 2004. From there I attended both undergraduate and graduate school at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders in 2008 and finished my Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders in 2010. I received my Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership-Special Education Director from Arkansas State University in 2017. I am the SLP for Siegrist Elementary. I am also an assistant softball coach for PCHS. My husband, Jamar, teaches middle school in the NKC school district. We have 4 kiddos: Dasia, Andrew, Maclin , and Brantley! My family means the world to me and I love to share stories with my students about all of them! I am a HUGE Missouri Tigers fan! On most weekends in the fall, when I am not at a softball tournament, you can find me in Columbia rooting on my Tigers football team! I like to spend time with my family and friends, swim in the summer, try new recipes, go to Royals baseball games, and just have a great time! I am looking forward to this school year and seeing all of the challenges and successes it brings for me and our kiddos! GO PIRATES!!!
